Pastor Kenneth L. Hollingshed is a native of Georgia. He has been preaching since his teens and has served in pastoral ministry for over 38 years. He answered the call to Ministry at the Usher’s Temple C.M.E. Church in Ft. Valley, GA under the leadership of the Rev. Dr. Robert W. Green in 1980 and has pastored and led many congregations to tremendous growth and Kingdom Expansion ever since. He currently serves as the senior pastor of the historic Morning Chapel C.M.E. “The Rock Church” in downtown Fort Worth, TX.
He previously served as the senior pastor of North Park Christian Methodist Episcopal (C.M.E.) Church for over 20 years where he also founded and served as President and CEO of Hallelujah House Outreach Center Inc., a 501C3 faith-based community center that houses several of the church’s outreach ministries such as: A.W.E.S.O.M.E Ministry(girls mentoring), Boys to Men Ministry(boys mentoring), Career Planning & Management, (Dress for Success) clothing closet, food pantry, Information & Referral Ministry, Computer Technology Training Classes, Jail & Prison Outreach, Joshua 6( Substance Abuse Recovery Group),Health & Wellness Ministry, homeless ministry, HIV/AIDS Ministry, Men’s Ministry, Bread Distribution, domestic Violence Advocacy, Women’s Ministry, Grief Ministry, One Church/One School, Prayer Ministry, Prayer-Line Ministry.
Pastor Hollingshed is a pastor, an evangelist, prophet, orator, trainer, teacher, a visionary leader, social activist, a licensed architect, and mentor to many pastors. He is one of the leading pastors in the C.M.E. denomination and has served under several Episcopal Leaders. He currently serves as Director of Evangelism of the Dallas/Ft. Worth Region and formerly served as the Eighth Episcopal District Pensions & Retirement Officer for the DFW Annual Conference as well as the Chairman of the DFW Board of Ministerial Examination. He was appointed to Commission on Life & Witness for the C.M.E. Church by Bishop Ronald Cunningham. He served on the Board of Directors of Collins Chapel Hospital in Memphis, TN. Bishop Henry Williamson appointed him to the Connectional Ministerial Assessment Board for the C.M.E. Church. He has served as a delegate to the General Conference (Connectional Church) and as the Chairman of Evangelism & Spiritual Life for several years. He also serves on the Board of Directors of “A Sisters Gift” Women’s Center in Dallas, TX, a non-profit Agency that provides crisis support for marginalized females living with HIV/AIDS and their dependents/families.
An effective communicator of God’s Word, Pastor Hollingshed has traveled extensively throughout the country and abroad preaching, teaching, lecturing, and speaking. He has served as the Keynote Speaker and Evangelist for “Religious Emphasis Week” @ Texas College in Tyler, Texas and Prairie View A & M University in Houston, TX. He was awarded the Distinguished honor from President Barack Obama and the White House “2016 Community Service Award” for Jail/Prison Outreach Ministry. He has been featured on the Fox 4 TV show, “Insights” and has made several Christian radio appearances informing the community of countless outreach programs and community-empowering projects that have reached thousands for the Kingdom.
